Let’s jump right in. Thank you to everyone who took the tour on Instagram last month during our St. Patrick’s week celebration. We wrapped up the week with a preview into book three (missed it? Check it out here) and autographed copies of Legend 1 & 2 to one lucky winner. 👋Julia!

Last weekend was also our first Cocktails and Conversations Instagram Live segment, thank you to all the folks that stopped by! If you missed it, it can be found in our @authorbeckybanks Instagram feed. The next one, (renamed to Caffeine and Conversations, is more apropos as we’re more often than not in a coffee shop) will be Tuesday April 25th at 10am. The book this week is Praise, from Sara Cate. And yes, I’m sorry mom, it’s not my new book.
And now, from the writer’s desk…
At the writer’s desk this month we have loads happening - to the author - the dystopian futuristic romantic thriller, Goodnight Raine is back from its deep edit and is looking sharp. From alpha readers to the actual editor have all asked, where has this book been? The writing is as tight as the storyline which is good news. In the coming months it’ll get a synopsis and placeholder title cover along with sneak peeks being released here and on Instagram. It’s a whole new genre, and style (written in the third person as opposed to my others which are first person POV), but the things you love about my writing, thorough storylines with vivid characters, action (lots of action) and a heat level that won’t disappoint, this will be a genre jump you’ll want to take.
Before Goodnight Raine hits the shelves Flux will beat it there. I’m writing its final chapters now, Flux is set for release late this summer and will have its synopsis and cover art revealed over the next few months. (!!) As I’ve been telling my friends and family this is like Jason Momoa meets Jessica Jones where Jessica Jones (no super powers, sorry it’s like real life, kinda!) is an underworld hacker named Vega Flux and Jason Momoa is Hoyt, “Ho’o”, Kaho’ohanohano, retired NFL tight end and now tech billionaire with a product called Titan’s Wall, an impenetrable fortress until one determined woman takes it and its founder to task. This is a frienemies to smokin’ hot lovers story with lovable sports and billionaire themes that take the reader for an emotionally intense ride. If you’re a fan of Forged and Serendipity of Fate, this will tick all the boxes for you.
